redraw() textmode() graphicsmode()
redraw
enters graphics mode and redisplays the current graph.
textmode
puts your terminal into text mode.
graphicsmode
puts the terminal into graphics mode.
On some terminals switching from graphics to text erases the picture
from the terminal's memory;
in this case you want to use
redraw
instead of
graphicsmode
---it puts the
terminal into graphics mode and redraws the picture that was on the
graphics screen.
When you enter graphics mode, the text will often be erased from memory;
we have no way to restore that.
Some graphics terminals can display either text or graphics but not both
at the same time. Most Tektronix emulators are like this---an editor
can only be used while in ASCII terminal mode
and pictures can only be drawn while in graphics mode.
