Plots a pair of vectors with a given axes scale ratio.
USAGE:
scaled.plot(x, y, scale.ratio=1, xaxs="i", yaxs="i", ...)
REQUIRED ARGUMENTS:
x
numeric vector or a list with named components
x and
y.
y
numeric vector. Values to be plotted in the vertical axis.
OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS:
scale.ratio
numeric value indicating the ratio of unit size in the
y-direction
to unit size in the
x-direction. Default of
1 produces an equally scaled
plot.
xaxs,yaxs
style of axis interval calculation. See the
par help file for
possible values. The usual default is
xaxs="r" extends the data
range by 4% on each end, and then labels the axis internally. This
function sets
xaxs="i" by default to create an axis labeled
internally to the data values. This emphasizes the geometric accuracy
of the plot.
Graphical parameters may also be supplied as arguments to
this function (see
).
