DESCRIPTION:

Returns or changes the names of the factors and the names of the levels of the factors.

USAGE:

factor.names(design)
factor.names(design) <- values

REQUIRED ARGUMENTS:

design
a design or data frame. Missing values (NA) are allowed.

OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS:

SIDE EFFECTS:

when used on the left side of an assignment, factor.names takes values and coerces them to the form just described, using the default rules.
