device is updated with the settings
for Java color schemes from the Spotfire S+ engine. For
java.colorscheme.update.splus
, the Spotfire S+
engine settings are updated based on the Java settings, and the Java settings
are checked to make sure they match the engine settings.
Normally, you don't need to know about these functions. If you are just adjusting the colors of a given graph, these simply modify the color scheme associated with the graph. Cases where these become important are:
1. If you programmatically modify the S-PLUS
java.colorscheme.XXX
variables, you need to call
java.colorscheme.update.java
to see these
changes in the Java color scheme dialogs.
2. If you select the "Set Default Color Scheme" or "Set Other
Color Scheme..." buttons in the "Set Color Scheme" dialog, you will
change the information in Java. You then need to call
java.colorscheme.update.splus
from Spotfire S+ to
update the default color scheme values in the Spotfire S+ engine.
