Stepwise Linear Regression Dialog Function
DESCRIPTION:
This function is used by the Stepwise Linear Regression dialog.
USAGE:
menuStep(formula=formula(data), formula.lower=NULL, data, weights,
subset, na.omit.p=T, direction="both", trace.p=T, print.short.p=F,
print.long.p=T, print.anova.p=F, print.correlation.p=F)
REQUIRED ARGUMENTS:
- formula
-
formula for most complex candidate model.
- formula.lower
-
formula for simplest candidate model.
- data
-
data set of interest.
OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS:
- weights
-
name of column containing weights to use.
- subset
-
subset expression for rows.
- na.omit.p
-
logical indicating whether to omit rows with missing values.
- direction
-
character string
"forward"
,
"backward"
, or
"both"
indicating
direction of stepping.
- trace.p
-
logical indicating whether to print information on model goodness-of-fit
at each step.
- print.short.p
-
logical indicating whether to print a short summary of the final model.
- print.long.p
-
logical indicating whether to print a long summary of the final model.
- print.anova.p
-
logical indicating whether to print an ANOVA table for the final model.
- print.correlation.p
-
logical indicating whether to print a correlation matrix for the
coefficients in the final model.
VALUE:
an
lm
object as described in the help for
lm
.
