Time-Frequency Plane Position

DESCRIPTION:

Compute the positions of an atom or a crystal on the time-frequency plane. These functions are generic (see Methods); method functions can be written to handle specific classes of data. Classes which already have methods for these functions include: cp.atom, cp.crystal, wp.atom, wp.crystal .

USAGE:

center(x)
bandwidth(x)
freq.center(x)
freq.bandwidth(x)

REQUIRED ARGUMENTS:

x
any S-PLUS object.

VALUE:

if x is an object of cp.atom or wp.atom, returns a real number; if x is an object of cp.crystal or wp.crystal, returns a vector of the same length.

DETAILS:

For cp.crystal and wp.crystal, definitions to the atoms are applied to each of the atoms.
