Send a Signal to the S Process
USAGE:
send.self(what=2)
ARGUMENTS:
- what
-
the integer code for the signal to be sent; default, interrupt.
(See your system manual for the available codes.)
VALUE:
The function
would return the result of a
".C"
call, but presumably will never
return.
This function is useful for testing error recovery, by simulating an
interrupt or other error at a specific point in a calculation.
In moments of great distress, it can also be used to abort S by
calling it with a QUIT signal (
what=3
).
