Panel Function for Scatterplots

USAGE:

panel.xyplot(x, y, type = "p", ...)
panel.qq(x, y, type = "p", ...)
panel.qqmath(x, y, type = "p", ...)
panel.splom(x, y, type = "p", ...)

ARGUMENTS:

x
horizontal coordinates of points to be plotted.
y
vertical coordinates of points to be plotted.
type
character string telling how to plot the x and y values: "p" for plotting points, "l" for lines, "b" for both points and lines.
...
graphical parameters that are passed to points or lines. By default, the trellis parameter list plot.symbol controls character size ( cex), plotting symbol ( pch), font, and color ( col) for points, and the plot.line parameters control line width ( lwd), line type ( lty), and color ( col) for lines. If plotting both points and lines ( type="b") the plot.symbol colors are used.

SIDE EFFECTS:

An appropriate type of scatterplot is drawn on the display.
panel.qq also plots an x=y line.
