Transform Dialog
DESCRIPTION:
This function is called by the Transform dialog. It is used to add a column
to a data.frame which is a transformation or calcuation based on other columns
in the data.frame.
USAGE:
menuTransform(data, variable.name="<END>", expression,
save.name = deparse(substitute(data)),
show.p = .Options$show.data.in.view)
REQUIRED ARGUMENTS:
- data

Data.frame to which the column will be added.
- variable.name

Character string specifying the column name for the new column.
- expression

Character string giving an expression to evaluate to produce the new
column. This expression may refer to other columns in the
data
.
- save.name
-
name under which to save the data.
- show.p

if
TRUE
and
save.name
is specified, the data set of counts will be
displayed in a Data window.
VALUE:
Returns a data frame consisting of the
data
with a column
variable.name
constructed by evaluating
expression
.
