Check an normal Inverse Wishart Prior
DESCRIPTION:
Checks the parameters in a normal inverse Wishart prior. This routine is
not normally called directly by users.
USAGE:
check.Gauss.prior(prior, vars)
REQUIRED ARGUMENTS:
- prior
-
an object of class
"priorGauss"
containing the parameters in the
normal inverse Wishart prior.
- vars
-
the diagonal of the covariance matrix for the complete data. Normally
this is the
"column.info$vars"
component of a class
"preGauss"
object.
VALUE:
an object of class
"priorGauss"
with all parameters expanded, if
necessary, to be as specified by the prior
type
, and by argument
vars
SIDE EFFECTS:
if the inverse Wishart prior is not correctly specified, an error
message is generated.

EXAMPLES:
object <- preGauss(cholesterol)
prior <- check.Gauss.prior(priorGauss("noninformative"),
vars = object$column.info$vars)
priorObject <- priorGauss("ml")
