File Type Export

Select the format of the file you wish to export. In addition to ASCII and Formatted ASCII (FASCII) data file types, you can select from the following file types to import into S-PLUS:

 

ASCII

ASCII text. File suffix: txt, csv, asc.

DBASE

dBase or other xBase file. File suffix: dbf.

EXCEL

Microsoft Excel worksheet file (Version 4 or earlier). File suffix: xls.

Microsoft Excel worksheet file (Version 2007). File suffix: xlsx.

FASCII

Formatted ASCII text file. File suffix: fix.

GAUSS

Aptech Gauss data file. File suffix: dat.

GAUSS96

Aptech Gauss data file from Unix. File suffix: dat.

INFORMIX

Informix database connection. No file argument should be specified. (This option not available on Linux.)

LOTUS

Lotus 123 worksheet file. Extensions: wk* or wr*.

MATLAB

Matlab file (must be Version 4 or earlier and contain a single matrix). File suffix: mat.

ORACLE

Oracle database connection. No file argument should be specified. (This option not available on Linux.)

QUATTRO

Quattro-Pro worksheet file. File suffix: wq* or wb*.

SAS

SAS data file from Windows or OS/2. File suffix: sd2.

SAS1

SAS data file from HP, IBM or Sun Unix. File suffix: ssd01.

SAS4

SAS data file from Digital Unix. File suffix: ssd04.

SAS_TPT

SAS transport file. File suffix: tpt or xpt.

SPSS

SPSS data file. File suffix: sav.

SPSSP

SPSS portable data file. File suffix: por.

STATA

Stata data file. File suffix: dta.

SYBASE

Sybase database connection. No file argument should be specified. (This option not available on Linux.)

SYSTAT

Systat data file. File suffix: sys.
